A man wanted to show his brother a huge smoke ring created by setting a mix of gas and diesel alight.

The filmer wanted to set up a drone to capture the explosion in all its glory. However, the experiment didn't go as expected with the flames scorching the device hovering at 75 feet in the air.

The device manages to capture an impressive angle of the explosion but its propellers were melted in the process, seeing the drone tumble to the ground.

"My brother the pyrotechnic was putting on a show for us in his backyard. Using a gas/diesel fuel mix, he wanted to show us the massive smoke ring it produced. I’ve always wanted to film a fire up close with my drone. He said 65’ would be good but I went to 75 just in case. Should have been 125 feet," said the filmer.
