Terrifying footage shows a motorist driving straight through a ferocious dust storm in Polpah, New South Wales.

The video starts with a huge wall of dust rolling towards the vehicle as Barry Turner drove along a road.

After suffering from extreme drought and without rain for two years, he was excited by this promising rainstorm, however, it only resulted in a ferocious dust storm.

It moved in quickly but only lasted for around 15 minutes.

There was damage to the windscreen and paint on the car, however, the Toyota stood fast and weathered the storm.

Barry Turner was driving on Polpah Station, a remote sheep station in outback Australia.
