This talented Thai gamer made an awesome portrait of Luffy from the live-action adaptation of popular Japanese manga 'One Piece' using dozens of Rubik's cubes.

The youngster Ekkarin Sirisakpaisarn, 11, spent at least four hours building his masterpiece, which was laid out like tetris bricks onto a wooden frame.

Footage shows the diligent youngster twisting the cubes to get his desired colour configuration, then placing them onto his canvas, forming the portrait from the bottom up.

Ekkarin, who uses the gaming nickname Ik-Q said he had been playing with Rubik's cubes for about 11 months, but had to stop temporarily for six months after undergoing eye surgery.

He picked up the hobby again following his recovery and ordered dozens of the cubes to be delivered to his home in Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

The young artist had started making cube portraits on Mother's Day, when he made one of his mum. He then moved on to create the Luffy portrait using a photo from the live action adaptation as a reference.

He said: It took me about four hours to make, and I spent about 20-30 minutes preparing before starting to make it by finding a picture to make. Then I put it into the calculation program and twisted each ball according to color. If a friend helps, it could be done in two or three hours.'

One Piece is a popular Japanese manga and anime series that follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they search for the ultimate treasure known as the 'One Piece' to become the Pirate King.
