Schoolboys have awesome paddle-of-war in rowing boat
Schoolboys had an awesome paddle-of-war in a rowing boat at a sports event.
The two teams consisted of six rowers - three on each side - facing each other as they battled to push the vessel forward in a swimming pool in Lampang province, Thailand, on August 17.
Footage shows the competitive students engaged in the endurance contest as they tried to outrow each other, riding in the same boat.
Excited classmates and teachers cheered for them on the edge of the swimming pool during the game.
Athlete Satthanapong Khamlar who attended the school activity said: ‘It was a sporting event in the Faculty of Sports Science and Health of the National Sports University.'
A paddle-of-war is a team paddle sport involving two teams paddling against each other in a canoe or kayak. It is thought to have originated in the Pacific Islands, where it was used as a way to train warriors and settle disputes.
