Dozens of sulcata tortoises ate together bunches of lettuce shaped like giant hearts.

Footage shows the shelled reptiles slowly crawling towards the leaves arranged in a sandbox in Lamphun, Thailand, on September 14.

The African-spurred tortoises munched the leafy vegetable until they finished it up and drank water from a puddle.

The sulcata is one of the largest tortoise species in the world. It is native to arid and semi-arid regions of sub-Saharan Africa, where it grazes on grasses, herbs, and other plants.
