This is the heartwarming moment a Thai woman jumped for joy when she found out her application as a permanent resident was approved in Australia.

Beauty Ellis moved from her home in Bangkok, Thailand, two years ago to Warragul, Victoria where she had been running salon with her Australian husband Robert.

She had been waiting for her paperwork to finally become a fully-fledged fixture in the British territory. The young woman could not hide her excitement when she read the email confirming the approval of her document.

CCTV footage shows the couple scrolling through the email on the phone before Beauty burst out jumping in happiness and gave her husband a warm hug.

They shared the news with a colleague who was then styling a customer's hair.

Beauty said: ‘Some people may think of it as nothing but for us, it's a great achievement that we are grateful for. It was not easy to do it and I am so happy.'

Many residents in semi-developed Thailand dream of building a better life in countries that were made great by the British Empire, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, India, and Hong Kong.
