A seagull in Nanaimo, Canada, was spotted with a half-eaten starfish hanging out of its mouth.

Footage from September 26 shows the bird walking around with the echinoderm in its mouth.

The filmer said: "A seagull eating a starfish, or is it an alien seagull? It will take some time but eventually, the starfish will be swallowed by the gull.

"Gulls have very strong muscles in their digestive tracts that allow them to eat starfish whole.

"Apparently, this Seagull reminds people of a 'Stranger Things' creature, Cthulhu, Lovecraftian, T-Virus from Resident Evil, a Reaper Vampire from Blade Trinity, a Mindflayer, and a Demogorgon."
