Played in appalling conditions, the game against Keflavik finished in a 1-1 draw. The weather was so bad that all ferry services to the island were cancelled, causing James to miss his flight to London where he was dues to be a pundit for BT Sports in London.

In this exclusive interview in the IBV clubhouse, James talks about why he moved to Iceland, his desire to combine coaching and media and why football is important in terms of fostering community spirit.

Three days after this interview took place, James kept a clean sheet is his 1000th senior game as IBV beat Fylkir 1-0 in Reykjavik.
