Seoul Halloween crowd crush victims remembered on first anniversary of tragedy
Halloween crowd crush victims have been remembered a year on from the tragedy that killed 159 people in Seoul, South Korea, on October 31, 2022.
Colourful notes with messages of condolence have been plastered across a wall near the alleyway where the revellers were crushed to death.
The site of the crush was officially designated the 'October 29 Memorial Alley' by the government at a ceremony on Thursday. Families of those killed and civil society groups attended, with no senior government representatives present.
