Jordan on Tuesday sent six trucks of medical supplies to Palestinians via the King Hussein Bridge border crossing between Jordan and the West Bank, Jordan's state-run Petra News Agency reported.
Health Minister Firas Al-Hawari said Jordan sent these medical supplies to help Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip deal with the challenging circumstances and humanitarian crisis they are currently facing.
The Jordanian government also announced the King Hussein Cancer Center Initiative, which will help treat Gazan children with cancer when they are permitted to be relocated to the center.
Jordanian Minister of Government Communications Muhannad Mubaidin highlighted the importance of having a parallel avenue for transferring humanitarian aid into the besieged Palestinian enclave.

"These trucks contain medical supplies and medicines with the aim of sustaining and supporting the health sector in Palestinian hospitals and health centers that face restrictions on the arrival of medicines and medical supplies. We hope that this point will be a center for delivering supplies and we support any initiative to relieve the suffering of our brothers in the West Bank and Gaza."
Two Jordanian planes carrying relief materials have already landed in Egypt, with relief supplies ready to make their way to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing, according to Petra.
