Veterans gathered at Westminster Abbey Field of Remembrance ahead of the arrival of Queen Camilla on Thursday, 9 November 2023. Now in its 95th year, the Field of Remembrance has been held every November since 1928 when The Poppy Factory brought a group of disabled veterans, a tray of poppies and a collecting tin to the grounds of St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey. Around 40,000 tributes, including symbols of all faiths, were laid out by volunteers in more than 300 plots in the grounds of Westminster Abbey ahead of the ceremony, as veterans and guests came together to remember fallen comrades and loved ones. The Field of Remebrance opens today, 9 November till Sunday, 19 November. London, 9 November 2023 11:30am #RemembranceField #WestminsterAbbey #Remembrance2023 #PoppyFactory #London #England #UK
