This footage was filmed and produced 8 November 2023.

On the 8th of November, a destructive early morning fire razed two apartment buildings on Beechwood and College Avenues in Pinedale. The flames erupted just after 1 am, compelling firefighting crews to battle the inferno from the outside due to its intensity.

The buildings, enclosed and under construction, were presumed to be unoccupied during the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the vacant structures.

Action News interviewed the property manager, expressing frustration and mentioning a recent period of vacancy during construction. The manager acknowledged previous encounters with homeless individuals on the property, shedding light on the challenges faced by vacant structures. Fresno Fire Public Information Officer, Josh Sellers, revealed that half of the city's vacant structure fires are attributed to homeless activity.

Fresno Fire emphasizes vigilance among property owners and neighbors, urging maintenance and reporting of any suspicious activities to prevent future incidents.
