In a recent development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intensified their operational activities in the Gaza Strip. Troops from the 36th Division engaged in operations against Hamas' "Zaytun" Battalion, a significant unit in Gaza City. Simultaneously, forces from the 162nd Division targeted the Jabalya area, home to the command center of the Northern Gaza Brigade and a major terror stronghold.

Encountering resistance from Hamas operating within civilian areas, the IDF faced challenges such as anti-tank missile attacks and explosive devices. Nevertheless, significant progress was made as numerous organization members were neutralized, and key terror infrastructure, including underground facilities, was successfully targeted.

The Southern Command remains committed to expanding operations to safeguard the region and strike at the heart of Hamas' military capabilities.
