On Saturday, November 18, at approximately 6pm, a Michigan State Police (MSP) trooper from the Gaylord Post responded to a report of a blue Pontiac Grand Prix driving recklessly in Otsego County, Michigan.

The trooper, turning northbound on Old 27 Highway, narrowly avoided a collision with an unoccupied Pontiac, which then crashed into a parked car at an EZ Mart gas pump.

Not long before, a witness reported that the Pontiac's driver, a 57-year-old woman from Grayling, claimed someone had crashed into her vehicle.

When the witness called 911, the woman became belligerent and attempted to flee, leaving her car unattended.

The car, then rolled forwards, nearly hitting the police vehicle arriving at the scene before it carried on across the forecourt of the gas station and into a car parked there.

The trooper observed signs of intoxication in the woman, including a strong smell of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech, and arrested her for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Despite this, she attempted to walk away during the encounter.
