Sikh worshippers celebrated the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, known as the First Sikh Guru, at the Gurpurab festival in Dildarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on 27 November.

School children's and Sikh students showcased cultural traditions and put on performances in front of crowds packed into narrow streets.

One performance that stood out involved a hooded, effectively blind, man using a sword to chop vegetables in a woman's mouth and attached to her arms.

The young lady appears understandably nervous even if she does not come to obvious harm.
