Turkish police captured the moment in Operation KARTEL-2 when they captured a notorious Croatian drug lord in Istanbul on 18 November.

Police executed raided the hideout of Nenad Petrak, the leader of an international drug cartel.

Petrak, a Croatian citizen wanted for "premeditated murder" by Croatian authorities and under an Interpol red warrant, was swiftly apprehended in Istanbul's Uskudar district.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the arrest, highlighting the operation's significance in the global fight against drug trafficking.

The collaborative effort involved the Istanbul Anti-Narcotics Department, Intelligence Office, and Border Office, all coordinated by the General Directorate of Security.

Minister Yerlikaya praised the police officers for their prompt and effective action in capturing the international drug smuggler.
