A man has been left furious after catching an Amazon delivery driver lobbing a Christmas present over his garden gate.

Sean Newton ordered a £39.99 hair styling tool for his 12-year-old step-daughter, Evie.

He was at his home when he heard a loud thud outside.

Shortly after, Sean, 33, received a delivery notification.

He said the notification stated that the parcel had been “handed to the resident.”

He checked outside his front door to see the parcel had been chucked over his front gate in Oldham, Gtr Man's.

Furious Sean then looked at the Tapo security camera that faced the front garden.

In the 28-second clip, the hapless deliveryman can be seen walking up to their house.

He looks at the small gate and doesn’t attempt to open it.

The delivery driver then throws the parcel into the garden.

Sean claims that the gift doesn’t work as there was a loose connection.

He thinks this could have been broken because the driver damaged it by throwing it on the ground.

Sean said: “I was at home when the parcel was ‘delivered.'

“And the sound of the parcel hitting the floor and handrail genuinely sounded like someone knocking on my door.

“Which is the only reason I knew it was there.

”They were a gift for my step-daughter who's really into her hair and makeup at the moment.”

Sean says he complained to Amazon straight away.

He claims they offered a full refund upon receiving the returned broken hair curlers.

However, he says this isn’t the first time this has happened when shopping on Amazon.

Sean added: “It's not the first time I've had to complain directly to Amazon and it's always the same story.

”I know myself that it's more than likely agency drivers who are brought on during the busy periods so you can't really put it on Amazon themselves.

”But the temporary drivers really need to have some pride in their work and do the job properly.

”If you don't put 100% into everything you do, then what's the point in my eyes”

Amazon has been approached for comment.
