A pedestrian was almost hit with a firework after yobs let them off in the middle of a town.

Horrifying footage shows colourful sparks and bangs popping off in the High Street.

Puzzled locals begin to walk away from the loud bangs.

Some are seen standing in shock along the high street in Enfield, north London.

The woman filming the video can be heard saying: “What the hell is going on in Enfield?”

“Fireworks or gunshots?

"You never know.”

Another woman adds: “Oh s*it.”

Two hooded youths can be seen dropping a package outside a Barclays bank before running away.

Seconds later a firework explodes just inches away from a man walking down the street.

It is not known if the passerby was injured by the reckless incident on Wednesday (1 Nov).

Onlookers can be heard screaming in shock.

The Met Police has been contacted for comment.
