A Japanese artist made a hyper-realistic spring roll using wax poured on water.

Timelapse footage shows the artisan shaping the melted green, orange, and yellow wax on a water basin before chopping them into strips on May 26.

He then put them in a wrapper he also created using the same materials before cutting and plating it. The items are then sold at his shop Ganso Shokuhin in Tokyo, Japan.

Japanese fake food has been around for centuries, and it is seen as a traditional and cultural art form.
