A thug lobbed a fire extinguisher at a man during an ugly brawl in a JD Sports store in Brighton, UK.

A group of youths started rowing with an employee near the display of trainers.

A massive fight broke out between customers and the red extinguisher was hurled into the shop.

It hit the man and a loud thud was heard.

One onlooker said: “Oh my God.”

Other Christmas shoppers could be heard gasping at the ugly scenes.

The yob - wearing a black hoodie, tracksuit bottoms, white socks and slider flip flops - then picked up another one.

But he smashed the glass security barrier with the second extinguisher.

A security guard then ran out and screamed: “Put it down.

“Put it the f*ck down.”

He shouted at the yob: “What you doing?”

Blood could be seen on the ground in the shop.

Sportswear was also left strewn over the floor in the branch in Churchill Square shopping centre, in Brighton, East Sussex.

Cops were called after the ugly clashes at 2 pm on December 14.

Security guards were seen pinning a young man to the ground in the mall as police officers stood next to them.

The store was then closed to the public for an hour as officers investigated the crime scene.

A mannequin was knocked over in the window display.

One local - called Steve - said: “That fire extinguisher round the canister definitely hurt.”

Another joked: “How can you be letting a kid in sliders do that to you?”

A spokesperson for JD Group said: “The safety and security of our colleagues and customers is our highest priority as a business.

“We do not condone threatening, violent and abusive behaviour in any shape or form, and take any incidences extremely seriously.”

Sussex Police has been approached for comment.
