A parkour wannabe became a laughing stock when he fell into a river during a failed free-running stunt jumping from one tall pole onto another.

Footage the man showcasing his skills as a group of spectators watch him jump along the objects in the Guitang River in Hunan province, China.

The crowd, supposedly the young man's friends, can be heard cheering in the background, right before he reached the second-to-last pole, when he lost his balance, slipped, and fell into the water.

Then, he stood up all dripping wet and reached for his shoe that he lost during the plunge, while his friends burst into laughter at his failed stunt.

Parkour is a discipline or sport where practitioners, called traceurs, aim to get from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible using only their bodies and the surrounding environment.
