Delivery rider rescued from under truck after crossroad accident
A speeding delivery guy has been rescued after he slid down the road to avoid crashing into a lorry but ended up stuck under it with his foot crushed.
Surveillance camera footage shows the man speeding with his motorbike towards a crossroad in the city of Jinhua, in Zhejiang province, China, at around 11 am on November 28.
But as he reached the intersection, he slammed the brakes and began sliding down the road after seeing a lorry coming from his left, which he allegedly saw too late and attempted to avoid.
The lorry then dragged the man as he became trapped beneath it for nearly 16ft (five metres).
A second video recorded by passersby shows the man lying stuck under the lorry with his leg crushed by the massive vehicle, as emergency crews tried to free him.
Local media revealed that two locals came with forklifts to lift the massive truck and help firefighters free the man.
After they slowly lifted the lorry and rescued the deliveryman, he was handed over to on-site emergency crews for medical treatment.
Paramedics placed him in the ambulance, as depicted in the recording, and transferred him to a nearby hospital.
The rider reportedly did not suffer any serious injuries, according to Chinese media.
