UK: “Rainbow” Clouds Dazzle Across Skies 2
Rare "rainbow" clouds, technically Nacreous or iridescent clouds, were spotted across the UK skies on Thursday morning, delighting residents and skywatchers.
These colorful clouds form due to cold air high in the atmosphere and are made of smaller ice particles that scatter light in a different way. The phenomenon has been witnessed across the UK since early this week.
