Australia: Intense Storms Hit East Coast States On Christmas 7
A storm hit south-east Queensland, northern New South Wales, and parts of Victoria on Sunday, Christmas Eve, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and hail to some areas.
Severe weather continued through Christmas Day, affecting all three eastern states, with warnings of more bad weather to come on Boxing Day.
This footage, shot on December 26, shows downed trees lining a road at Runaway Bay in Gold Coast in the aftermath of the Christmas storms.
