Snow pounded parts of England on Monday, January 8, amid a forecast week-long cold snap. Flooding persisted in many areas since last week.

Yellow warnings for ice were issued by The Met for southern England as well as southern Wales. Temperatures may dip well below freezing, -4C for parts of England and Wales and possibly -7C in Scotland, according to The Met Office.
