STORYLINE:

Israeli warplanes struck on Thursday the Lebanese southern border town of Al Khiyam, while its army shelled the southern border towns of Aitaroun and Aita al-Shaab.
   
Hezbollah said in a statement that it has attacked the Ramtha post in the occupied Shebaa farms, surveillance equipment at the Cobra hill, and groups of soldiers at the Metula, the Baghdadi, and the Tayhat Israeli posts.
   
Hezbollah also said that it targeted the Malkia post.
   
Hezbollah and Israeli forces have engaged in daily clashes since the Palestinian Islamic Movement of Hamas launched the "Al Aqsa Flood" operation on Oct. 7.
   
The fighting escalated in recent weeks since Israeli strikes killed a top Hamas leader and a senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon earlier this month.
