Orange pastry bun for Chinese new year
A bakery crafted Chinese pastry mooncakes resembling small oranges in preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
Footage shows a baker at Minimize Bakery demonstrating the process of making Chinese pastry mooncakes that look like oranges in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on January 6.
The pastry is poked with multiple sticks to create a texture similar to that of an orange. It is then molded with the use of hands in a circular motion to achieve a round shape, and lines are added on top, along with a dot of a black fondue, to resemble oranges.
It is then painted with orange colour and cut in half to reveal the white pastry inside.
