Unidentified glowing object appears in night sky over China
An unidentified glowing object appeared in the night sky over China.
Footage shows the large disc-shaped entity illuminating the dark horizon like it was hovering over the city in Xinjiang on April 19.
It caused concern for locals, but some pointed out that it was a twilight effect caused by a rocket launch from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
The twilight effect is caused by the condensation trails left in the atmosphere by burning the rocket fuel after liftoff. Luminous clouds are also extremely rare and can only be observed within an hour of sunrise and sunset after the launching of rockets.
