The Hydroblade surfers make the most of the wild conditions by harnessing the energy of the ocean. They ride specialist short surfboards with an aquaplane attached. as they paddle to catch the wave the board lifts clear of the ocean surface giving a unique experience which can involve pumping the board to create forward motion in flat spots.
