In a daring operation in Khan Yunis, the Paratroopers Brigade's Reconnaissance Unit engaged in close-quarters combat with militants during a targeted raid on Hamas infrastructure. The clash resulted in the tragic loss of SSF (Res.) Uriel Aviad Silverman from the 7421st Battalion, while three other soldiers sustained injuries. Undeterred, the soldiers pursued the attackers, eliminating nine militants in the process.

The courageous commanders of the Paratroopers Brigade's Reconnaissance Unit, leading from the front, entered a building under fire to engage and neutralize the Hamas cell. Their swift action not only eliminated the threat but also rescued trapped soldiers.

Simultaneously, the troops coordinated with the Israeli Air Force and artillery forces to target identified enemy locations in close proximity to their position. The IDF emphasizes the preparedness for rescue missions amid hostile conditions.
