Dozens Injured in Explosion, Hospital Patients in Indonesia Evacuated

SemenPadang Hospital in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia, has relocated some inpatients following an explosion that occurred on Tuesday around 15:33.

The explosion shocked everyone at SemenPadang Hospital. Until now, it is not known for certain whether there are any casualties.

However, some patients are being transferred to the nearest hospital.

A loud explosion was heard around SemenPadang Hospital on By Pas Street, Pisang, Pauh District, Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia, around 15:53 on Tuesday (30/1).

Dozens of people, including staff, visitors, and patients awaiting treatment, rushed out. Several windows and ceilings shattered and collapsed to the floor. Dozens of people were injured in this incident as they were hit by glass shards and debris.

The explosion occurred in the attic of the first and second floors. Meanwhile, other patients have already been evacuated from the hospital.
