A cow was rescued after it had fallen into a drain in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

This happened in Shahdol district of the state on January 31.

Visuals showed the cow trapped inside the narrow drain, which was located behind a stadium. The bovine could not move inside of the cramped space and in front it stood a calf. The information about this incident was sent to the Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, whose members arrived on the spot to save the cow.

The members of the organization held onto the cow's horns as well as legs and after a lot of effort, were able to pull the animal out of the narrow drain. This rescue operation was conducted by Sarthak Mishra, Prakash Sen and also the locals.
