STORYLINE:

The Thammasat University in Thailand Monday held a cultural experience event to celebrate the upcoming 2024 Spring Festival, or the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 10 this year.

The event showcased Spring Festival culture and sent New Year wishes through calligraphy experience, tea art performance, traditional Chinese food making and other activities, attracting hundreds of Thai teachers and students to participate.

"Chinese Spring Festival is one of the biggest festivals in Thailand. Because a lot of Thai people are of Chinese descent, we have a lot of Chinese Thai who live here, and every year, they actually celebrate the New Year. So it's a very big event."
