In a rapid response to a wildfire outbreak in the Mediterranean brush, shrubs, and trees, emergency services were called to Contra Filiciusa, Strada della Neve in the Adrano area of Catania. The firefighting squad from the Adrano detachment of the Catania Provincial Command swiftly arrived at the challenging and hard-to-reach location. Due to the rugged terrain, an aerial operation was also initiated using a Canadair aircraft to assist in extinguishing the flames.

The affected area spans approximately 72,000 square meters, which has since been successfully contained and secured by the emergency teams. Support was also provided by teams from the Forest Service of Adrano and Civil Protection to ensure the fire didn't spread further. The operation is currently focused on cleanup and restoration efforts to prevent any potential future threats.
