Locals braved a huge 32-foot (10 metres) swing during Lunar New Year celebrations in Hue, central Vietnam.

The giant swing is made from long pieces of bamboo and men are selected to ride the machine in traditional clothes.

Locals believe the festival brings good luck, favourable weather, and a good harvest.

According to local people, the festival is held on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year.
Villagers will make a giant swing 10 meters high from long bamboo trees. Healthy men will be selected to participate in the festival. They will wear traditional clothes and climb on the swings. The person who swings the highest on the swing will win the festival.
The festival aims to pray for good luck, favorable weather, and a good harvest.
