Three teenagers on a motorcycle crashed into a noodle shop 'due to a flat tyre' in Thailand.

The trio careened into the shop after turning a curve on a road in Phrae province on January 5.

CCTV footage shows how the motorcycle slammed into a set of tables and chairs, grinding to a halt as the staff and passers-by rushed to the riders' aid.

The three suffered minor injuries from the crash, with the rider sporting a broken finger after the accident.

Shop owner Kewit Wongpaitoon, 58, said: 'I suspect the crash happened because the motorcycle couldn't hold their weight and caused a flat tyre.

'They were lucky they didn't hit any noodle pots since. They could have been burnt by the hot water.'

He added that he will not be pressing charges as they 'were still students.'

The riders have been taken to a hospital.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.

However, a lack of road safety education in schools, cheap loans for cars, notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws as well as endemic corruption and chronic under-investment in infrastructure hamper the efforts.
