A pet Golden Retriever who was afraid of the water finally jumped into the pool with encouragement from a boy.

The two-year-old pooch named Ochin was playing with the kids but refused to join them when they swam so six-year-old Aaron tried to calm him down in Bukidnon, the Philippines, on January 24.

Footage shows Ochin trying to pull away as Aaron tried to entice him to paddle in the pool with them. The dog walked around the edges like he was checking it for safety and finally took the plunge.

The parents shouted when Ochin jumped as they proud of him but also worried that he would not know how to swim.

Pet owner Maya Kristen Aparicio Villarino said: ‘Ochin conquered his fears and I am so proud of him. The kids helped him to overcome the water.'
