In a recent incident in the Tver region of Russia, emergency responders successfully rescued a stranded moose from the waters of Lake Ploskoe on February 17, 2024. The operation required the coordinated efforts of Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel armed with an axe, a chainsaw, and a rope. Four rescuers worked together to carefully drag the moose out of the water, and once on land, a huntsman examined the animal for injuries, finding none. Fortunately, the moose, though initially distressed, was deemed healthy and was promptly released back into the forest.
