This is the heartbreaking moment a grieving groom cries as he marries his deceased wife.

The groom, Watanyu Ratree, 26, proceeded with their wedding with his deceased fiance, Tammaporn KhunKarin, 17, in Phetchabun, Thailand, on December 12.

Footage shows Boom crying during the ceremony, with his parents and in-laws comforting him while tying a thread on his wrist as a wedding ritual.

The couple had planned to marry but Miw passed away from leukemia a few days before the makeshift Buddhist ceremony.

Despite knowing his wife was ill, he still organized the wedding ceremony to fulfill his promise to his late wife and uphold tradition.

The husband said: 'She will be my wife forever in my heart and spirit. One day I may meet another person, but she will always be with me.

'I did the wedding ceremony so she will know that I love her and feel better in the afterlife.'
