Ukrainian forces destroy Russian armoured vehicles and troops

These images show Ukrainian soldiers destroying Russian troops and vehicles using kamikaze drones.

The footage shows a number of Russian soldiers and trenches, as well as Armoured Vehicles being hit on the battlefield by the Ukrainian ordnance.

The images were obtained from the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi of the armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, February 20, along with a statement saying:'Recently, the Russian occupiers became more active and went on the offensive.

'For several days, Vyhovtsy repelled the enemy's attacks. Up to a company of Russian marines, three tanks, 5 BMP-3/BMD-4 infantry fighting vehicles and the same number of MTLB tractors were destroyed.

'Our soldiers showed character, repulsed the enemy, and performed their duty with dignity and integrity. Eternal memory to those who gave their lives in battle but did not flinch or retreat. We continue to defend Ukraine!

'Here are the highlights of the latest battles. Together to Victory.'

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between February 24, 2022, and February 20, 2024, Russia had lost approximately 404,950 personnel, 6,503 tanks, 12,268 armoured combat vehicles, 9,773artillery units, 988 multiple launch rocket systems, 675 air defence systems, 338warplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,521 drones, 1,902 cruise missiles, 25 warships, 1 submarine,12,805 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,551 units of special equipment.

Ukraine has shot down two additional Russian warplanes, an Su-34 fighter-bomber and an Su-35 fighter, used to drop guided aerial bombs, according to army chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. This adds to the three Su-34s and one Su-35 downed over the weekend.

Ukrainian troops are encountering heavy fire from Russian forces in the southern Zaporizhzhia region. This follows Russia's claim of taking full control of Avdiivka, marking its largest advance in capturing Bakhmut last May, after Ukrainian troops withdrew.

Ukraine's government is collaborating with SpaceX to prevent Russia from using Starlink, Elon Musk's satellite internet service.

They proposed an algorithm to SpaceX, seeking to ensure Ukraine's terminals work while blocking Russian access.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated the need for Ukraine's terminals and noted ongoing efforts with SpaceX to address this issue.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Russia is taking advantage of delays in aid to Ukraine, emphasising the 'extremely difficult' situation in areas with Russian troop concentrations.

He highlighted shortages in artillery, frontline air defence, and the need for longer-range weapons during a visit to the frontlines in the Kupiansksector.
