The city of Valencia lives this Saturday its second day of official mourning for the fire in a building of 138 homes located in the neighborhood of Campanar that has left ten people dead after the location of the last body of the person who was missing.

The flames devastated last Thursday the 14 floors of the building in a very short time. However, there are still no clear hypotheses about the causes of the fire or its relationship with the building materials, in particular, the presence or not of polyurethane as insulation and the 'ventilated facade' cladding. Thus, the administrations are now focusing their efforts on finding out the origin of the fire and its rapid spread, an investigation into the causes that remains under the secrecy of summary.

The delegate of the Government, Pilar Bernabe, has made statements to the media after the discovery of the tenth fatality in the fire in the building in Valencia: "These ten victims will be identified through DNA testing, we want it to be done with full guarantees so that families can say goodbye to their relatives as they deserve. The balance will always be provisional, but we have a data that coincides with the Police list, which was made thanks to a complex work and thanks to Julian, the janitor of the building, who has helped a lot in the work of searching, door to door, the neighbors of the building. The list coincides with the number of victims we have found. Now all the identification work begins, it is a very complex job. Yesterday the secret of summary was decreed and we will not be able to provide the details of the investigation. We know that two firefighters are still injured, and I want to make a special recognition to all of them, we saw images that were terrible and that many of us will preserve in our retina. The inspections will continue as long as necessary, until we check, inch by inch, the whole building. We will continue searching, the work is very complex".
