STORYLINE:

The Lao Ministry of Health urged local authorities and people countrywide to be vigilant and help control the spread of dengue fever as the number of infected cases continues to rise.
   
Cases of dengue fever in Laos have reached 1,118 since January 2024, including two deaths, according to a report issued by the Center of Information and Education for Health under the ministry on Tuesday.
   
The ministry instructed everyone to engage in mosquito eradication. The work of clearing mosquito breeding grounds requires the support of all sectors of society and should be the responsibility of every household, according to the report.
