During Chinese New Year, a balloon loong measuring over 40 metres long glided through a three-story atrium of a shopping mall in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong.

On January 24, the artwork was confirmed to have broken the Guinness World Records for being the world's largest balloon loong.

The loong, also known as the Chinese dragon, epitomises resilience, dynamism, and vitality within Chinese culture.

This artwork is the creation of balloon artist Wilson Pang.

Wilson Pang, Balloon artist, "We believe the loong is a very good symbol. During the Lunar New Year, we often extend our congratulations, wishing others to be filled with vitality, just like the spirited energy of the loong and horse."

"The eyes are the most crucial part. Whether the loong is lively or not depends on the eyes. The loong should be spirited and lively, and yet remains gentle. In terms of our creative process, precision in capturing this essence is very important."
