A three-banded armadillo became a hit when he visited a school in Indiana.

Footage shows the playful animal named Cachi clinging to the foot of Potawatomi Too director Josh on March 7.

Zoo Director Josh and Cachi recently made a special appearance at Kennedy Academy for Literacy Night where they read a book and engaged with students about armadillos.

Kristina Barroso Burrell, Marketing and Communications Manager at Potawatomi Zoo said Cachi is one of the zoo's ambassador animals.

She added the Education Department utilises these animals for various educational programs and visits to schools, libraries, and other community locations.

Cachi, in particular, stands out for his outgoing and engaging personality, often showcasing quirky behaviours such as jumping on shoes and playfully chasing after visitors.

Cachi has become a fan favourite among zoo visitors thanks to his captivating presence and unique charm.
