A lone horse took local police officers on a chase through the streets of Ocala, Florida, on March 24.

Officers finally managed to safely control the runaway equine without injuries.

In a scene straight out of the Wild West, the streets of Ocala, Florida, witnessed an unexpected spectacle as a lone horse took authorities on a thrilling pursuit in the early hours of March 24.

Officer Bellamy of the Ocala Police Department found herself face to face with the towering equine as she conducted routine duties parked at Ollie's Bargain Outlet. What ensued was a whirlwind chase, with the horse leading officers along SR 200 in a daring dash through the city streets.

The pursuit reached its climax when law enforcement managed to safely corral the spirited steed in the parking lot of the College of Central Florida. Despite the adrenaline-fueled chase, officers successfully contained the runaway horse without incident.

Coming to the aid of their fellow officers, the Marion County Sheriff's Office Agricultural Unit swiftly responded with a trailer, ensuring the safe transportation of the horse to more suitable pastures.
