Hundreds of Iraqis took part in a demonstration in Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, organized by civil activists, in support of the people of Gaza, demanding a boycott of American and Israeli goods, and an end to the conflict.

The demonstrators raised banners that stated, “Boycott American and Israeli goods,” and another that stated, “The stinking, rotten smell of betrayal spreads throughout the Arab world,” while another banner raised by the demonstrators stated, “The Al-Aqsa flood is the battle of us all.” They also placed models of shrouds symbolizing the killing of children, to convey a message about the children of Gaza who die almost daily in the conflict in Gaza.
