Indian journalist pins attacking leopard down in show of extraordinary strength and bravery
A journalist managed to pin a leopard down after it began attacking animals in Dungarpur, Rajasthan, on March 31.
Gunwant Kalal had travelled to a nearby village to report on the leopard attack when he sprung into action and caught the wild animal.
The journalist claimed the leopard attacked him when villagers attempted to scare the leopard away by throwing stones at it.
"It bit my leg I fought back using my other leg to defend myself. When the leopard tried to bite my hand I grabbed its neck and jaw and sat on its back," Kalal said.
The journalist managed to pin the leopard down for seven minutes until the local forest department arrived to handle the situation.
