Tornado sirens could be heard in Paducah, Kentucky, on April 2 was severe weather hit the area.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was completely terrified to wake up as my brain subconsciously recognised tornado sirens going off.

"I jumped out of bed and staked my GoPros into the ground and we all ran into the basement to take cover.

"This is round one of the severe weather today here in Western Kentucky in McCracken, County Kentucky.

'Over the last 45 years, traditional tornado alley has been shifting east of the Mississippi River causing an increase in frequency of severe weather."
