A sandstorm turned the sky orange in China amid severe weather warnings.

China's Central Meteorological Observatory issued alerts for heavy rain, sandstorms, strong winds, and severe convective weather starting from March 27.

Footage shows the sky turning orange due to the sandstorm in Changchun, Jilin, on March 28.

According to the Jilin Provincial Meteorological Bureau staff, the melting of snow in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia and southern Mongolia caused the sandstorm across the region.

As temperatures rise, the soil colliding with strong winds has led to the dispersion of sand and dust, affecting several provinces and cities.
