Fox barks like dog after growing up alongside furry friend
A domestically raised fox has adopted canine mannerisms, including barking, after growing up alongside a dog in northwestern China.
The funny video was filmed in Lanzhou City in Gansu Province on April 29.
Dubbed Zaizai by its owner, the fox was purchased as a month-old cub from a breeding farm last year and has since lived among dogs.
Its diet primarily consists of dog food, and its daily routine mirrors that of its canine companions. Consequently, Zaizai has come to identify itself as a member of the dog pack, even emitting barks instead of typical fox cries.
Remarkably, the fox also takes on the responsibility of guarding the premises, alerting its human counterparts with distinctive barks upon detecting unusual occurrences.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
